Penacook Place Board of Directors elects officers, new members for 2010-2011

HAVERHILL, Mass. (June 14, 2010) –– Penacook Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center’s board of directors elected officers and new members for the 2010-2011 operational year at its annual meeting on May 26.

 member of the Board of Investments for Pentucket Bank, was named as the new board chair. Other officers for 2010-2011 are: Haverhill Bank President Thomas Mortimer of Haverhill, first vice chair; Joan Hull of Arundel, Maine; former Home Health VNA C.E.O., second vice chair; Northern Essex Community College accounting instructor Francis Cleary Jr. of Haverhill, clerk; Richard Sundell of Bradford, who manages flight operations and community events for Angel Flight New England, treasurer; and Pentucket Bank Vice President Cindy Ryan of Plaistow, N.H., immediate past chair.

Also newly elected to serve three-year terms were Haverhill residents Cary Rea, Gail Edelstein and Lucinda Nolet and Groveland resident Elaine Dalton. Members currently serving terms are:  Dr. Howard Brown, Marjorie Brewer, Janis Cordischi, Kalister Green-Byrd and Frank Novak of Haverhill, Robert Baranello of Boxford and Faith Delaney of Newburyport.

Located at 150 Water St., the 160-bed Penacook Place is the only not-for-profit nursing and rehabilitation facility serving the city of Haverhill. Penacook Place has a professional staff of 230 employees.
